Hello, I'm Tommy Wald.
My story is familiar to MSP business owners who have worked hard to establish their business. I started my business in 1993 out of the front bedroom of my house. And over the years overcame many obstacles, economic downturns and was forced to re-engineer the company several times along the way.
We were very active in the pioneering stages of managed services in early 2000 and achieved MSP success early on. It was hard work, but over time we continued to grow and focused on achieving best-in-class metrics across all categories.
We grew from being a local foot-print in Austin, TX to having multiple offices across the state with over 100 employees. This was accomplished through organic growth and acquisition of other MSPs.
Like many other MSP business owners, my ultimate goal was to one day be able to sale the business and create personal wealth. This opportunity came along and I am thankful every day for having accomplished this.
Since then, I have been consulting and advising in the MSP industry. I have worked with dozens of MSPs and IT service providers ranging in revenue from under $500k to over $25M. I have facilitated MSP peer groups and consulted with technology vendors and a global distributor. I am also an active angel investor.
Today, I am promoting MSP CEO as a practice for helping MSP business owners evolve to the next level. I am here to show you how you can grow your MSP and achieve similar success as others.
I do not claim to have a 'silver bullet'. Growing an MSP requires much effort and time and achieved only by those that are committed. My role will be to keep you pointed in the right direction and help you develop offerings that will be more competitive.
